Despite the good efforts of our committee the Optimist members were only just outnumbered by runners.
We did raise $380 and had ages from 11 to 62. Fastest male over 10k was John Clarke in under 39 minutes while Joyce Bridgett was a tick over 48 minutes. At the 5 k distance Peter McGillicuddy was fastest in 20m32 seconds and Nichola Cox ran 23m 25 seconds.
Many thanks to
the large number of Optimists who turned out to stand on a street corner in the
drizzle. Particular thanks to the committee for putting it together and to Opt.
Ian for making sure we had all those intersections covered.
