The Jackrabbits are Ready to Run for 2012!

Allow me to introduce myself.....my name is Greg Janisse and I will be the chairperson for this upcoming season of the JackRabbits Ski Program. These are big shoes to fill, as Todd Taylor has done an incredible job for the past 6 years. Please join me in congratulating Todd on a job well done! Not to worry, we'll still be seeing Todd out there on the slopes!

This years registration date is : Sunday Nov 20th 9am to 1pm @ Monora Park Pavillion.

Make sure to mark this on your calendar, it will be a fun day to see old friends and meet new ones! This is also the date of Mono Nordic Open House including a ski sale and BBQ. More info at mononordic.com.

Cost: Members of Mono Nordic $40 each skier / Non members $50 each skier. I will send out the rental rates for 2012 shortly.

Season starts Jan 8th 2012 and runs 2-4pm each Sunday (weather permitting).

Optimist Bliss Daley introduced this programme to the Club in 1983 (when he was a teen-ager) and served as an instructor for twenty-three years.

The commitment we have made is to work with Orangeville kids for 2 hours every Sunday as long as there is snow to ski on.

Presently there is capacity for about 70 young participants under the guidance of Optimists Todd Taylor, Everett Lusk, Al White, Dave Clark.

With the generous co-operation of the Mono Nordic Club we have been using their ski trail system at Monora Park at no charge for all these years.

Over the years many Club members have served hundreds of our youth by participating as jackrabbit instructors and administrators. Many others have never seen our programme in action. Why not visit us some Sunday? Working with kids is what it is all about!
