We begin our 53rd year as a club with Optimist Klaus Hoeg as our new president for 2025/26. He will bring his ingenuity and enthusiasm for the community and the Optimist commitment to enrich the lives of youth in our area. He has been with the club for 5 years. In this time he has been a key member of the Shed Gang and one of the Captains of CiTP. Each year we work many hours designing and building an array of displays for the Orangeville Optimist Christmas in The Park event.

 

Optimist International, founded in 1919, is a service organization serving youth and communities around the globe. It has nearly 70,000 adult and youth members in more than 2,500 clubs in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, and many other nations throughout the world. Carrying the motto “Bringing Out the Best in Youth, in our Communities, and in Ourselves,” Optimists conduct positive service projects that reach more than six million young people each year. We are the Optimist Club of Orangeville part of  CENON (Central Ontario District Optimists), we have about 38 current members and welcome new members wholeheartedly! Christmas in The Park, our most famous event has been going for more than 30 years where the Optimist Club has been bedazzling Kay Cee Gardens in the heart of Orangeville! This year begins Monday Dec 1st through Dec 31st. Click here to see updates as they come in on our CiTP page.
