Behind the scenes

Every year volunteer Optimist members bring fresh new creative ideas to the wonderland of Christmas in the Park, whether it's new lighting, exciting colourful displays, or new park structures to add to Kay Cee Gardens, the Shed Gang is quite a team! This year they've been working for several months designing, constructing, painting and decorating two very significant large displays: A Santa's Workshop Window with tiny moving elves, who hammer, saw and drill as if they were building new toys, as a jolly Santa waves from within. And an enormous decorated wooden Gingerbread House which will be dripping with lights as well.

The Shed Gang, as our creative team is fondly referred to, work tirelessly on these grand inventions, and here is a glimpse of what goes in the shed!
